Hannah and James were The Willows very first wedding! They have such a beautiful love story, and it was a pleasure hosting them and their circle of love and support.

Their Wedding

Even though both Hannah and James were living in Seattle at the time of the engagement, they knew that Lubbock was going to be the perfect spot for their big day! Hannah’s parents, excited for a coming engagement, toured The Willows Event Center around September when we opened. They loved it and told Hannah about it. She kept it in mind and when the couple came into town for Christmas, they had the opportunity to see it for themselves. Half-way through the tour, James pulled Hannah aside sharing that he was feeling led to pick The Willows as their venue already! They took a moment to pray together. By the end of the tour, they were set on The Willows which stood out to them because of “the dimension of its style,” Hannah said. “The Garden is beautiful, and the indoor space is still very chic and industrial.” It all made sense!

Their Favorite Part of Their Big Day

The moments after the ceremony when it is just the bride and groom can be the most calm and exciting of the whole day, and that was the case for Hannah and James. They took a moment and freaked out! Together they laughed and cried and as their wedding party slowly joined in on their moment, it was a genuine moment of joy rejoicing together.
