2022 Wedding Trends | Lubbock Event Center

May 2, 2022

At our Lubbock Event Center, brides are making a statement this year with new trends and new traditions! From styles of engagement rings to new and classic accessories, here’s everything you need to know about 2022 wedding trends:

Pastels and florals are stealing the show!

The décor of this year’s weddings at The Willows Lubbock Event Center have primarily hit on two features: pastel details and an abundance of florals. Many brides have leaned into this trend, incorporating elaborate floral displays, pastel bridesmaids’ dresses, and lots of soft details. Peonies, garden roses, hydrangeas, gardenias, and tulips are huge this wedding season! Brides are aiming for that Bridgerton aesthetic, and we couldn’t love it more!

Color coordination doesn’t have to be limited to the wedding party.

This year, we’re seeing brides ask their guests to dress in a specific color scheme. This is a newer idea that can make photos from the big day look more cohesive and visually pleasing.

Less is more when it comes to accessories.

In 2022, brides have been keeping accessories quite simple. We’re seeing the use of pearls throughout many of this year’s weddings. This adds to the timeless, classic look many brides are hoping to achieve. We’re seeing pearls in EVERYTHING, from earrings to hair clips, and even on veils or invitations! 2022 brides have been all about the subtle details.

Moissanite is a girl’s best friend!

Engagement rings in 2022 have followed the simplistic theme as well. We’re seeing a lot of gold bands with solitaire stones, reflecting the desire for that timeless aesthetic. This year, many couples are opting for moissanite stones rather than the traditional diamond or lab-grown diamond. Moissanite stones are almost as hard as a diamond, and they often sparkle even more! Plus, they’re much more economically feasible.

Say goodbye to the garter toss.

Garter tosses have been on their way out for quite a while now. Many couples aren’t comfortable with this tradition, and some have opted for the groom to keep it in this pocket rather than the bride wearing it.

Late-night snacks are a must!

Traditional, take-home wedding favors are out, and late-night snacks are in! Imagine dancing all night and leaving with a Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit in hand…Yes, please!!! This trend is definitely a favorite of wedding guests this year.

Every bride’s style is different, so whether you’re following or setting trends, what’s important is that you make your big day your own! Who knows, maybe your wedding will end up in our Lubbock Event Center list of 2023 wedding trends!
