Meet the Team – Camryn Mayer, Event Specialist – Lubbock Weddings
I had an interest in working in the event world, specifically weddings, starting in high school. I began to assist with day-of wedding coordination at my church and loved it! I moved to Lubbock from Arizona to go to Texas Tech and I majored in Public Relations. Through Tech, I was able to connect with different organizations and volunteer at their events for more experience. I spent a year and a half working weddings and events at a winery and then was offered a part-time position with The Willows in June of 2019. I have now graduated from Tech and work full-time and love every minute of it! I feel so blessed to have had so many opportunities to work with wonderful clients and guests over the years, I know this is such a special job to have and I cannot wait to keep learning more.
Where is your favorite place in the world?
My favorite place is Sedona, Arizona! It has been a family vacation destination spot since I was in elementary school and I have adventured all over the beautiful red rock town. I feel so at peace there surrounded by God’s incredible creation. I highly suggest going on a Pink Jeep Tour, they are exciting and so educational.
What is your favorite series to binge watch?
If I ever need something that is guaranteed to make me cry laughing, New Girl is my way to go! I relate to each of the characters in different ways, but Jess is just so funny!
What is your favorite holiday?
I have two! I thoroughly enjoy Thanksgiving for the intentional time to celebrate gratitude and eating food from the heart. The 4th of July is also such a wonderful day to be outside grilling, enjoying fireworks and feeling blessed to live in such a wonderful country!
