A Walk Through The Willows

We woke up to a rare winter wonderland on January 10th in Lubbock, TX. Snow or shine, nothing was going to stop us from hosting A Walk Through The Willows: Bridal Open House at the Willows Event Center! In fact, the snow left our Lubbock wedding venue looking like a breathtaking winter wonderland.

Around 20 local Lubbock wedding vendors gathered to show off their exceptional talents. Vendors included: photographers, videographers, florists, event designers, photobooths, bakeries, hair and makeup artists and wedding prop and balloon installation designers.

Brides were able to bring up to four guests to experience first-hand what our venue and some of our favorite vendors had to offer! As brides walked in, they were greeted with goodie bags filled with swag from our vendors and offered rosemary champagne straight from the champagne wall installation.

Each wedding vendor who took part in A Walk Through The Willows went above and beyond with their booths. In addition to that, each vendor generously donated prizes for our giveaways. We had multiple swoon-worthy giveaways throughout the evening for the brides who were in attendance.

The Willows event team held four different tours during the evening, which gave our brides an inside and personalized look at everything our picture-esque Lubbock wedding venue has to offer.

VIP-Brides had an exclusive tasting towards the end of the Bridal Open House, which gave our Willows couples the perfect first opportunity to taste the exquisite food that would be served on their big day. Our in-house catering team went above and beyond to showcase a delicious variety of foods. In addition to passed hors d’oeuvres around the Bridal Open House, we had two live-action food stations. Couples were able to experience a macaroni bar, where they could craft their own macaroni and cheese, along with a carving station featuring herb crusted pork loin. Our caterers here at The Willows also provided samplers from the buffet for couples to taste.

The VIP catering portion of the evening the perfect opportunity for our brides to talk with our experienced food and beverage manager and our exemplary chef de cuisine. We ended the VIP experience with a plated meal for our couples to try. Because of the success of this portion of the Open House, we will now be hosting quarterly tastings for our couples who book their weddings with The Willows Event Center!

Camryn Mayer, wedding and event specialist at The Willows, said she was “so inspired and filled with a lot of joy from the generosity of the vendors.” She said, “every booth went above and beyond and our vendors are so good at serving our couples.” The Bridal Open House left her feeling excited to meet with more brides as they plan their dream day with The Willows Event Center.
